Sword Art Online

Rating: 8/10
This anime takes place in the future where technology has allowed the development of the gaming console: NerveGear, a system that intercepts the nerve impulses for control of a character within a virtual reality. In simpler terms, it means actually "living" in the game instead of "playing" it. Sword Art Online, a VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) was released using this system. However, on the first day of release, it seems that the "Logout" button was missing. All players that was stuck within the game was "forced teleported" to another area, only to receive the news that Sword Art Online was a death game, where death within the game means actual death in reality, and if the NerveGear was runs out of battery or forcefully removed, the player would also die. The only way to escape the game alive was to go through all 100 floors of the game and clear it. However, after one month, the players were still stuck on the first floor, with many casualties.
In the second arc after the game was cleared, it seems that 200 Sword Art Online players were not released from the game. Kirigaya Kazuto, or Kirito (his gaming ID), which is the main character for this show, was determined to save his girlfriend, Asuna, which was also not released. However, the Sword Art Online game is no longer accessible, and after some time, it turns out that Asuna was found in another game called Alfheim Online. Kirito returns to the Virtual World once more in order to save her.
Official Summary
In the near future, a Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (VRMMORPG) called Sword Art Online has been released where players control their avatars with their bodies using a piece of technology called Nerve Gear. One day, players discover they cannot log out, as the game creator is holding them captive unless they reach the 100th floor of the game's tower and defeat the final boss. However, if they die in the game, they die in real life. Their struggle for survival starts now...

Rating: 10/10
This anime revolves around a mysterious man that appeared in a village one day, wounded. When he awoke, he had lost the memories of his past and he had a mysterious mask on his face that couldn't be removed. The emperor's brother's son (What the heck..), which had originally came from the same village until he was adopted by the emperor's brother, one day came and took away supplies from the village as a tribute to the lord's brother. The next day, the supplies mysteriously appeared back in the village. This incident combined with a break-in at the castle, led to the village of being accused of harboring a thief. The village elder was killed in the process, and then Hakuoro, which was the name given to the the mysterious man by the village elder, led the village to rebel and eventually, they took over the entire country and named it after their village elder, Tuskuru. However, many secrets lie behind the past of Hakuoro which was revealed as the story progresses.
Official Summary
Everything about him is shrouded in mystery. The mask he can't remove. The past he can't unravel. And the very survival of the people who have chosen him as their leader. But what Hakuoro does know is this: he was gravely injured and left for dead in a forest. A kind young girl named Eluluu found him and nursed him back to health. He was welcomed into a barren land where strange creatures roam, an angry god seeks vengeance, an oppressive government slaughters the innocent, and a bloody war looms on the horizon. Will the masked hero liberate the people who saved him? Can he unlock the memories that elude him? Or will he remain a stranger even to himself?

Hataraku Maou-sama!

Rating: 9.5/10
This anime revolves around the Demon Lord Satan. On Ente Isla, which is an island, Satan and his army fights against the humans in an attempt to rule over Ente Isla. However, a hero, Emilia, appears carrying the Sacred Sword, Better Half which is capable of slaying demons. She corners Satan, and Satan escapes with his general Alciel through a Gate, known as a bridge between worlds. Satan ends up in Japan of our world, where magic, demons and the like are all fiction. As magic doesn't exist, Satan's and Alciel's body performs a drastic change and they changed into a human, incapable of regenerating magic and has to preserve it for important use only. It's been a year and Satan starts living like normal humans in our world. Satan and Alciel made family registries and their now known as Maou Sadao and Ashiya Shirou respectively. Funny thing is, Satan now works as a part-timer at MgRonalds (McDonalds, basically), and while on the way home one night, the hero appears before him and threatens to kill him... With a knife bought at a 100 yen store?!?!?!
Official Summary
Devil King Sadao is only one step away from conquering the world when he is beaten by Hero Emilia and forced to drift to the other world: modern-day Tokyo. As "conquering the world" are the only skills the Devil King possesses—and are obviously unnecessary in his new situation—he must work as a freeter to pay for his living expenses!

Finished Hyakka Ryouran: Samurai Bride
Oh....Kay.. The season was kinda f-ed up. The maid cafe. A monkey turned into a busty Master Samurai. The anti-climatic last episode. People don't just revive and fall from the sky.
Low rating for the story for this one, I guess.. High rating for the boobs though.

Again, this is just comments on the show, since I just finished it and I want to say it out while it is still fresh in my mind.
Well. This show is like a bunch of short stories, each episode featuring different characters. Nothing special, I guess? But I really like the art of the characters though, get to see so many. Haha.

Finished Utawarareumono
I will be writing a short summary on this later. But for now just some comments on it I guess. Before I watched it, I was playing the game, which was an eroge. The story was really interesting and I came across the anime but was reluctant to watch it, because I was afraid of disappointments.
However, the anime was quite good and covered almost the entire story. But like I said. Almost. Fortunately, the remaining are covered by 3 OVAs which are released later, which overall completely covered the entire plot. For those who have played the game. You won't be disappoined by this anime, though since this was released during Spring 2006 (April 2006 to be exact), so the art is a little old-fashioned but still quite good, I guess.
Unfortunately, the story stops at a point where most would wish that there was a second season which was not possible as there isn't a sequel of the game for the anime to be based on.

Announcement of Date A Live Season 2
Looks like Date A Live is going to get a second season. Well, for many who don't read light novels, this would be good news I guess.
But for those who have read the light novel such as myself, have already been disappointed by the obvious drop in quality of work when comparing the light novel and the anime. Quite a few parts in the story was missed out, probably because four volumes of the light novel was crammed into one season. To know that this drop in quality would continue in the second season would be considered bad news over good news for me.
